Deadstar Exortium is built by people who chose to create something rather than simply become part of something that already existed. Leadership within Deadstar is therefore more than a collection of titles. It is the responsibility of keeping the corporation moving, creating opportunities for its members, and building the structure that allows everyone else to fly farther.
The personnel files below represent the pilots currently entrusted with that responsibility. Each file contains the public record of a member of Deadstar’s leadership and provides access to their individual dossier.
Command is a Responsibility
Deadstar does not believe leadership exists to place distance between command and the people it serves. A good commander is not the pilot standing furthest above everyone else. A good commander is the person willing to stand in the middle when things become complicated.
Leadership means making difficult decisions when they need to be made. It means accepting responsibility when those decisions are wrong. It means listening when someone else has a better idea, and knowing when discussion needs to end and action needs to begin.
Most importantly, leadership means understanding that the corporation exists for its members — not the other way around.
The Command Structure
Deadstar Exortium is intentionally structured to allow responsibility to expand as the corporation grows. Founding leadership provides the initial direction and establishes the standards upon which the corporation operates, while additional commanders and specialists can be added as the needs of the corporation evolve.
Positions are not intended to exist simply for appearance. Every command role carries responsibility, expectations and a reason for existing. As Deadstar expands into new operations, industries, exploration efforts and other areas of New Eden, its leadership structure can expand with it.
What We Expect From Command
Command should never become an excuse to avoid the work expected of everyone else. Leaders are expected to participate, contribute and understand the realities faced by the members they lead.
The responsibility of command includes protecting the people, resources, reputation and future of Deadstar Exortium. That means thinking beyond the immediate operation and considering what comes next.
The strongest measure of a leader is not how many people follow them, but how many capable pilots they help create. Knowledge, experience and opportunity should be shared rather than hoarded.
Success belongs to the corporation. Failure belongs to command. Leaders are expected to own their decisions, learn from mistakes and move forward without unnecessary drama.
New Eden changes constantly. Plans fail, ships are destroyed, markets shift and operations go sideways. Deadstar’s leadership must be capable of adapting without losing sight of the larger objective.
Deadstar is a corporation built by players. The game is supposed to be enjoyable. Command exists to make the experience better, not to turn a game into another obligation.
The Personnel Files
Every leader has a story.
The personnel files below are more than a list of names and ranks. They are the public record of the people currently helping shape Deadstar Exortium. Open an individual file to learn more about the pilot behind the position — their role, responsibilities, experience, specialties, philosophy and place within the corporation.
As new leadership is appointed, their personnel file will appear here automatically. No redesign of this page is required. The directory is intended to remain a living record of Deadstar’s command structure.
United // Relentless // Infinite
We do not build leaders to stand above the corporation. We build leaders capable of standing with it.
